From Compensated Dating to Hotel Handjobs Part 1

Men's Cyzo - Original Japanese Date: June 27th, 2013
English Translation Published: March 23rd, 2015

Visual Kei rock band loving Japanese woman tells the true story of how she became way more than a groupie and how she funded this expensive habit.

(Translator's note: this is the eighth entry in the Men's Cyzo Japanese Sex Worker Series and unlike the first three entries, this one more closely follows the flow of an interview hence its categorization on My Dearest Desire. This is another great read into the Other Side of Japan that is only hinted at in mass consumption media. This is prime material for those wanting to know more about the various sex industries that make up Japan's red light district along with adult video from unique perspectives of those who actually walked the walk.)

H-ko (currently in her 20's from the Fukuoka Prefecture) was a major fan of Glay during her grade school years. She wasn't much of a bookworm and didn't really take part in club activities either. However, she also wasn't a delinquent. Rather, she was a normal Japanese schoolgirl who simply liked listening to Glay.

Her later portion of grade school is where things changed. H-ko went from liking mainstream Visual Kei acts such as Glay to those of a more independent nature. Band Gyaru—Japanese gyaru whom are deeply into Visual Kei—may not be the most unique topic to cover, but for a time H-ko was a very active member of this type of Japanese subculture and it changed who she was. She even lost her virginity to a band member. He was a classmate from high school.

Throwing away our virginity as early as possible was the mindset of the group I was in.

I'm not sure what kind of group she associated with, but for most women, sex—at least the first time—isn't something intensely enjoyable.

I didn't find my first time that pleasurable, but it wasn't bad either...

Either way, for H-ko what was even more important than spreading her legs was chasing after her favorite Visual Kei bands. She was a haunt of live acts while drooling over a vocalist of a certain band.

Luck favored her as the following year an acquaintance introduced her to said vocalist which was a splendid one-on-one encounter much more welcoming than solely watching him on stage from below.

I had no intentions of having sex with the him the day we met, but one thing led to another...

This is how H-ko picked up a beloved Visual Kei sex friend.

Isn't having a sex friend while still in high school kind of early?” I asked. H-ko responded with a troubled facial expression.

I lied and told him I was 20.

That kind of makes sense. He may have hesitated if her true status as a Japanese schoolgirl was revealed. Their relationship may have never even begun. However, age was not the only thing H-ko fibbed about.

He was from Tokyo and that's where I told him I lived. In reality, I came from Fukuoka to see him perform.” (Translator's note: over 5 hours by bullet train each way across a good chunk of the country.)

This fib put H-ko in a situation where she frequently flitted from Fukuoka to Tokyo and back. She'd have to prepare herself for impromptu invites to Tokyo for sex. As you can tell, this situation put a serious dent in her purse.

How could a Japanese schoolgirl maintain this expensive habit of traveling to Tokyo regularly solely for sex?

Enjo kousai.

(Translator's note: Japanese Visual Kei has had its ebbs and flows and popularity peaking in the late 90's, but it still remains popular today with a small, yet fiercely dedicated fan base—with a good percentage being female. Japanese women seem to like the effeminate nature of the performers which is strikingly similar to how the Takarazuka Revue—a Japanese theater company featuring only women cast both in male and female roles—also features an almost religiously devoted fan base almost entirely of the fairer gender.)
